FISHING REPORT
Updated - 9/3/26
Current River Conditions:  Water is clear and at normal flows

Fishing Report - Fair:
The Fly Shop (
TM) in Redding https://www.theflyshop.com reports: "With the storms rolling in this week, this could be 'The Place' to be! When it's cloudy and stormy, the hatches can be epic. And there are more hatches overall the past week with PMDs being the main hatch. It is fishing well, the weeds are choking the bridges and the guides are working to open up lanes to get through. Smaller nymphs on a dry-dropper rig or swung are doing the most work. Tricos are still coming off and you can get a spinner fall in the super early mornings. Good dropper flies are Jim Nations, BP Weiss Nypmhs, Sweet Peas, Two-Bit Hookers, Red Micro Mays, and Russ' Sin City. For dries, the smaller Rusty Spinners, PMD Challenged and PMD Hackle Stackers, presented correctly, will get fish. Strip Pine Squirrel Leeches and Water Boatmen in the mid-day and afternoons."
