Current Conditions:

Fishing is Good:   Guide Joe Garza www.jagflyfishing.com "Weather continues to be our nemesis up here, it's been all over the board!!! The smallie bite has been slow at best, look for it to pick up as the storms clear and the water warms. It's not all bad news though, we have seen some decent midge hatches in between storms, with some quality Browns and Rainbows being caught, with a couple of smallies here and there. Midge and balanced leeches have been the staple when the weather cooperates. The HEX Hatch is 2 months away, so time to get those rods out and practice the casting."

Old friend Terry Thomas fished the lake last week with guide Mark Antaramin and reported that they did exceptionally well in the flats fishing midge patterns just off the bottom.  He showed pics of some beastly Browns they caught.

Nymphs: Midge patterns, Callibaetis
Streamers: Hex nymphs, pond smelt, Balanced leeches
Dries: Spotlight Caddis emerger
