Current River Conditions: 197 CFS below Downieville

Fishing-Good: With cooler weather the predominate hatches are BWOs (Blue Wing Olives) some Caddis, possible October Caddis.  Elk Hair Caddis or Adams Parachutes are the best for fishing dries and Hare's Ears, Birdsnests and Pheasant Tails are good bugs for nymphing.  Size #18 or smaller nymph larva patterns such as Mercer's Micro Mayfly/olive. Rubber Legs/black #8 or #10 is a good call too.
