Fishing Report-Fair:
Miles at Trout Creek Outfitters https://www.troutcreekoutfitters.com in Truckee reports
"The bite at Pyramid has been great this week. The fishing is good throughout the day, and all presentations have been working. We would recommend choosing your method of fishing based on the beach you end up at, or vice versa. If fishing a rocky bottom beach, you would want to avoid using sinking line and streamers and would be best focusing on fishing midges under an indicator. If you’re on a sand bottom beach with a really significant drop off, try using streamers or balanced leeches fished right off the drop off as fish love cruising these ledges in search of baitfish. The more gradual beaches are typically where you will see people fishing off ladders and stripping or using midges fished shallow under the bobber.
This time of year is typically considered to be the best in terms of finding both good numbers and good sizes of fish, and now that we have the weather factor as well, this is looking like one of the best windows of fishing the lake may see all year. We highly recommend you find some time to get out here this week."
